Governmental Affairs
The HBA works closely with federal, state and local elected officials on issues that impact our industry. Building a positive relationship with our elected officials is an absolute must in this business: doing so can produce a more favorable environment in which to conduct your business.

voterVoice, The grassroots database of the HBA of Greater Cincinnati
The HBA Grassroots Database is a listing of home addresses and contact information of HBA members who have volunteered to stand up against anti-growth sentiment in their own neighborhoods. These members receive e-mail notices that keep them up to date about growth issues in their own political subdivisions that encourage them to get involved in volunteer boards and commissions, participate in public meetings, and provide helpful talking points on important housing issues. The database is vital to the HBA's lobbying efforts because it motivates members of the home building industry to participate in the governmental and legal processes that sustain the industry. Build-PAC
The HBA Build-PAC represents members uniting to support the best-qualified, pro-housing candidates for local office. Build-PAC is completely independent and bipartisan and candidates are chosen on their merits alone, giving the Association and its members political clout in the election process.
