Single-family home permits were up 27.9 percent in the four-county area of Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren counties through March. All of the counties in the HBA’s jurisdiction experienced double digit increases. Hamilton County continued to experience the biggest percentage gains in single-family residential permits, a 40.2% increase, boosted by strong growth in the City of Cincinnati, Colerain and Green Townships. The county issued a total of 143 single-family permits during this period, compared to 102 last year.
Warren County continues to lead the region with a total of 216 single-family permits, a 24.9% increase, during the first quarter of the year.
Butler County registered a 24.6% increase, with Liberty Township producing 63 of the county’s 142 total permits for the three-month period.
Clermont County has also continued its momentum after several slow years, registering a 22% increase, with 72 permits.
Altogether, there were a total of 573 single-family permits issued through March in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties, compared to 448 in 2015, a 27.9% overall increase.
